Oct. 2012– The shop has expanded. I now have a large “clean” room with a set-up bench, and a large storage rack for jigs/fixtures and cases.
The Konkoly Guitars workshop is currently housed in 2 cozy rooms in the basement of my home. The bench room is where most of the construction and handwork is accomplished.
The machine room accommodates the larger woodworking machines. This is where most of the dirty work happens. Raw wood is transformed into guitar parts.
A short time ago I made some changes to the shop. Some new machinery was moved in and new jigs/fixtures are always being added.
The machine now includes a radial arm saw, table saw, and new dust collector.
The jig wall now houses several new rosette cutters and updated dovetail jigs among other things.
The bench room has the drill press and dish sander station, in addition to an occasional visit from the new family pet (Winston the standard poodle).
